Frequently Asked Questions

Many things in medicine do not have one direct and clear answer. We hope these provide some guidance to commonly asked questions about our practice. If you do not see an answer to what you are looking for here, please call us or make an appointment. 

Q: What should I bring to my appointment?

A: Health insurance card; photo I.D.; home address and phone; Social Security number; employer information and phone; parent or responsible party for minors; medical history; medications and list of allergies; immunization/shot history

Q: What do I owe for payment at my visit?

Q: Are you closed for lunch?

A: We remain open from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday. Each provider's schedule of appointments vary. 


Q: When do I come for my fasting lab work?

A: You should have been given an appointment time for your lab-work, like any other appointment. The lab opens at 8:15 am everyday except Thursdays, when it opens at 9:00 am.


Q: Does The Family Clinic take same day or walk in visits?

A: We make every effort to see patients when needed, but reserve walk in or work in appointments for sick patients who need to be seen urgently. If you are given an appointment, rest assured we will see you, but there may be an extended wait for appointments worked into the schedule. 


Q: What should I do if I have a problem when the clinic is closed?

A: If you have an emergency you should always call 911 first. If you have any other urgent need or question you may call 662-323-3162 and follow the instructions on the voicemail to reach our provider on call.


Q: Does The Family Clinic see children?

A: Yes! We see patients of all ages, from birth to 100 and older.
