Jennifer Summers, NP-C

Jennifer M. Summers, NP-C is a board-certified nurse practitioner who joined The Family Clinic medical staff in July 2019. Summers was raised in Columbia, Mississippi where she graduated from Columbia High School in 2003. After high school, Summers began pursuing her degree, while also working in various roles throughout the health care setting. After completing an Associate Degree in Nursing at Pearl River Community College in 2010, she immersed herself into direct patient care.

Shortly after starting direct patient care interaction, she was led to continue her education to maximize her ability to provide comprehensive care to patients across their lifespan. Summers completed a Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Mississippi University for Women in 2012. During her time in the Golden Triangle area, she quickly fell in love with the community. She then completed a Masters of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Family Medicine at Walden University in 2018, while living in Texas and returned to Mississippi to enter full time clinical practice. She has been committed to providing quality and efficient healthcare to her patients since.

During her academic and professional journey, Summers has been trained in areas that encompass all ages and various primary care settings. While in Texas, she was involved in the Southeast Texas Nurse Practitioners Association and volunteered with community efforts to raise awareness for preventative healthcare for women, men and children. Summers is a member of Sigma Theta Tau nursing honor society and Golden Key International Honor Society. She is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Mississippi Nurses Association.

As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Summers will strive to provide quality healthcare and promote health education to improve the quality of life of Mississippi residents.
